On to New hampshire - Day 8 - October 11, 2024
Today we left Burlington after a nice breakfast in the hotel and headed toward New Hampshire. Our first stop was the capitol of Vermont - Montpelier. We stopped at Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks and learned about the harvesting of maple syrup. We then Made our way to the Rock of Ages Granite Quarry in Barre, Vermont. We stopped at the Hope Cemetery outside of Barre which was absolutely amazing - the artisans from Italy came to this area years ago to carve granite and many are buried here. We had a nice lunch at Mulligan’s Pub in Barre before heading out of Vermont. We drove for a bit and ended up at the base of Mount Washington at the Mount Washington Resort - spectacular views and tons of people!
