fort ticonderoga, Lake Champlain & Burlington, Vermont - Day 6 - October 9, 2024
We had a early morning breakfast in Manchester, Vermont this morning and we will make our way into New York for a little bit before going back into Vermont. Our first visit of the day was to Fort Ticonderoga on the southern end of Lake Champlain. The fort has been occupied in the past by the French, British, and the United States. Its location on Lake Chaplain near the Canadian border made it very strategic.

We had a box lunch at Fort Ticonderoga and then made our way back into Vermont to Burlington. We took a boat ride on Lake Champlain - it was a very cold and windy afternoon, but the ride was excellent if you stayed out of the wind. We ended up sitting on the stern and had some excellent views.
