silversea orgin - fernandina & ISABELA ISLANDS, galapagos, ecuador - day 11 - september 16, 2025
This morning we slept in and had a late breakfast! The trip has been very bust so far with lots of activity, it is nice to take a break when you can.
This morning we are taking zodiacs around the Fernandina to see the sights - this is and excellent way to get around, it is far more relaxing that the long hikes over lava! We saw sea lions, brown pelicans, and cormorants.
A Mess of Iguanas
In the afternoon we relocated the ship to Isabela Island and took a zodiac to see baby sharks, cow eagle rays, sting rays, sea turtles, sea lions, and penguins!
Overnight we had some really rough seas - the Silver Orgin is not a large ship - it can really get to rocking. Makes it hard to eat dinner or sleep. There were a few times that I was amazed I stayed in the bed!
